Contest Rules and Information

Voting Method and Requirements:

  • Votes can only be made by completing the online form at https://thedalleschamber.voterfly.com/ .
  • Voters must register using a valid email address and provide complete, accurate information, including full name and any other required registration details. Incomplete or inaccurate entries may be disqualified.
  • Only one account per voter is permitted.
  • Winners are determined by individuals who submit valid voting ballots.

Voting Limits:

  • Each person may vote once per category per day.
  • Use of multiple email addresses or aliases to vote is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to manipulate results will result in removal of those votes.

Nominee Eligibility:

  • Nominees must reside within Wasco County.

Voting Period:

  • All votes must be received by April 26, 2025.

Ballot Stuffing and Security Measures:

  • If a business is caught “stuffing ballots” or circumventing security measures, their votes will be flagged and removed.
  • We use automated software to detect and prevent fraudulent voting practices.

Disqualification and Conduct:

  • The Northwest Cherry Festival facilitators reserve the right to disqualify any business or voter that violates the competition rules or engages in inappropriate conduct, including but not limited to misuse of marketing materials and non-compliance with guidelines.
  • Participants who violate the rules will receive a written warning.

Permissions and Use of Likeness:

  • By participating in Window Decorating Contest, you grant us permission to use your business name, likeness, and image for marketing and promotional materials related to the competition.

Results and Announcements:

  • All competition results are held privately by the The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce.
  • Winners will be notified on April 27 by phone and will be announced publicly on the Northwest Cherry Festival Entertainment Stage at 4pm on Sunday, April 27th.

  • There will be 3 winners:
    · 1st Prize receives $300 cash, Banner Ad for 1 year on TheDallesChamber.com and ExploreTheDalles.com, also 2 free Eblast Sponsor Ad (value of $2,700)
    · 2nd Prize receives $150 cash, Banner Ad for 6 months on TheDallesChamber.com and ExploreTheDalles.com, also 1 free Eblast Sponsor Ad (value of $1,300)
    · 3rd Prize receives $75 cash, Banner Ad for 3 months on TheDallesChamber.com and ExploreTheDalles.com, also 1 free Eblast Sponsor Ad (value of $700)

Purpose of the Competition:

  • The goal of Window Decorating Contest is to have fun, recognize the creativity and spirit of our community through our businesses, and enjoy Northwest Cherry Festival, April 25 – 27, in downtown The Dalles, Oregon. We aim to make the competition enjoyable for all participants.
