Contest Rules and Information

Voting Method and Requirements:

• Votes can only be made by completing the online form at https://thedalleschamber.voterfly.com/ or in person at Rivermark Community Credit Union, The Dalles. 
• Voters must register using a valid email address and provide complete, accurate information, including full name and any other required registration details. Incomplete or inaccurate entries may be disqualified.
• Only one account per voter is permitted.
• Winners are determined by individuals who submit valid voting ballots.

Voting Limits:

• Each person may vote once per category per day.
• Use of multiple email addresses or aliases to vote is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to manipulate results will result in removal of those votes.

Nominee Eligibility:

• Nominees must reside within Wasco County.

Voting Period:

• All votes must be received by April 21, 2025.

Category Limits:

• Nominees must choose and stick to no more than one of categories for the duration of the voting period. Changes to category selections are not permitted once voting begins.

Ballot Stuffing and Security Measures:

• If a business is caught “stuffing ballots” or circumventing security measures, their votes will be flagged and removed.
• We use automated software to detect and prevent fraudulent voting practices.

Disqualification and Conduct:

• The Northwest Cherry Festival facilitators reserve the right to disqualify any business or voter that violates the competition rules or engages in inappropriate conduct, including but not limited to misuse of marketing materials and non-compliance with guidelines.
• Participants who violate the rules will receive a written warning.

Permissions and Use of Likeness:

• By participating in Little Royals Contest, you grant us permission to use your business name, likeness, and image for marketing and promotional materials related to the competition.

Results and Announcements:

• All competition results are held privately by the The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce.
• Winners will be notified on April 23 by phone and will be announced publicly at the Northwest Cherry Festival breakfast. 
• Coronation will take place on April 26th, at the Mid Columbia Senior Center Cherry Festival Royalty Coronation Breakfast.
• Winners will receive a gift from Rivermark Community Credit Union, a gift certificate from Fred Meyers for an outfit for the festivities, and a special place to ride in the Cherry Festival Parade along with the rest of the Cherry Festival Royalty.

Purpose of the Competition:

• The goal of Little Royal Contest is to have fun, recognize some adorable littles, and build the anticipation for the Northwest Cherry Festival, April 25 – 27, in downtown The Dalles, Oregon. We aim to make the competition enjoyable for all participants.
